The short version

FaderDeck collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads. Your audio files never leave your iPad.

What FaderDeck does on your device

FaderDeck splits songs into stems using htdemucs, a separation model that runs fully on-device via MLX. The app reads the audio file you choose, processes it locally, and keeps the result on your iPad. Nothing about the song, the separation, or your usage is sent to us or to anyone else.

The one network request FaderDeck makes

The first time you separate a song, FaderDeck downloads the htdemucs model weights (about 160 MB) from Hugging Face's servers. This is a one-time download, cached on your device for later use.

Like any download, this request exposes your IP address to Hugging Face. FaderDeck sends no audio, no song information, and no personal data as part of this request.

In-app purchases

FaderDeck plans a Pro unlock, sold as an in-app purchase and processed by Apple. Apple handles payment. We do not receive your payment details.

This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard server logs, such as your IP address and browser user agent, to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
